Business Analysis Intern (Rock star)

What You Will Do

• Learn the basics of Agile principles, methodologies, roles, traditions and techniques deployed in Agile projects.
• Develop your business acumen. Gain foundational understanding of how a business is run and grown
• Learn the importance of and approach/techniques for gaining business knowledge
• Learn how to identify competitors and appropriately classify them
• Learn the basics of marketing, go to market strategy and a marketing plan: identifying customers, customer segments, positioning, pricing, communication channels and brand building
• Develop a sales mindset. Participate in customer demos / proposal writing. Watch and learn from your colleagues.
• Learn how stakeholders are discovered and catalogued and apply in the context of eedge.ai
• Learn how requirements are elicited. Accept tasks to create elicitation plan, sending out invites to relevant stakeholders, lining up logistics and resources for the event. Seek out to be a scribe, so you can watch and learn. Document and circulate meeting minutes.
• Analyze elicitation notes. Learn how to and document requirements models and specifications. Seek to peer-review your colleagues’ specs
• Always be curious. Endeavour to discover root causes to problems. Focus on user experience and hone a deep sense of design
• Develop a distinction between product and project. Hone product sense. Learn how to focus on and listen to your customers. Understand product vision, roadmap and MVP
• Learn all about metrics and OKRs.
• Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.

What You Will Need

• A bachelor’s degree in business or related field, STEM or an MBA.
• The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
• Generic understanding of technical skills.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• A track record of following through on commitments.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
